Powcom Services s.r.o. was formed in 1999 to provide services for the rollout of a new GSM 1800 mobile network for Oskar (Cesky Mobil), which comprised 2,000 cell sites in the Czech Republic. Powcom Services provided site acquisition & build permit services, line-of-site, rollout supervision, installation, test & integration, as well as subcontractor administration services. Powcom s.r.o. now offers a full range of telecom and power solutions in the Czech Republic.
The Czech Republic joined the EU on 1 May 2004. The economy is one of the most developed and industrialised of the former communist countries in Central and Eastern Europe. It is home to over 10.2 million people, and is bordered by Germany, Poland, Slovakia, and Austria.
